The rumours that David Blaine's latest feat of endurance, to be locked in a room for an hour with Jewel while she recited her poetry, turned out to be completely untrue - his doctors advised that it could do serious damage to his mental health.
However the Wall Street Journal reports that Jewel and David Blaine spent last weekend in Hong Kong to help celebrate the 50th birthday of businessman Bruce Rockowitz. The event was thrown by Rockowitz's girlfriend, Hong Kong pop-singer, Coco Lee. Performing at the weekend event, as well as Jewel and Blaine who both performed at a brunch show on the Saturday, were Rihanna and Lionel Richie. Among the guests were Tommy Hilfiger and British retail tycoons Philip Green and Richard Caring.
